Students are the “passion” that fuels Next Level. Students share their future dreams and aspirations with Next Level volunteers in exchange for knowledge. It is this knowledge that transforms their dreams into reality.
Minimum Participation Requirements
Screening Procedure
- Obtain parent/guardian consent
- Complete written application
- Complete personal (mentee) interview
Training Session
- Attend student training session prior to match
- Attend in-service training session as needed
Time Commitments
- One year commitment (academic year) and must be in grades 8th – 12th during program year
- Meet with mentor for one hour per week.
- Participate in scheduled mentoring workshops for personal development & cultural awareness, community service projects, and other group activities
- Communicate with academic mentoring director or staff representative once a month
- Communicate with mentor on student’s progress monthly
- Complete participation log and program evaluation
