Holocaust Remembrance Scholarship – A Living Memorial
The Holocaust Remembrance Project is a national essay contest for high school students that is designed to encourage and promote the study of the Holocaust. Participation in this project encourages students to think responsibly, be aware of world conditions that undermine human dignity, and make decisions that promote the respect and value inherent in each human being. 2012 Girls’ Community Scholarship
The 2012 Girls’ Community Scholarship Application is now available. This community scholarship is sponsored by the Cincinnati (OH) Queen City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. The chapter awards scholarships to African-American females in the greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area that are currently high school seniors and plan to attend a college or university upon graduation. 2012 YWCA Mamie Earl Sells Scholarship
Applications are now being accepted for the 2012 YWCA Mamie Earl Sells Scholarship. Every year the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati awards the Mamie Earl Sells scholarship to a female African-American senior high school student. Ms. Sells’ mission in life – “to lift as we climb” – has become part of the mission of the YWCA, empowering the next generation of young women to become accomplished, connected community leaders and role models.
